China for Pakistan domestic hockey

China will take part in Pakistan's domestic hockey tourney this month, reports SADA news agency.

"China has confirmed its participation in the Governor's Gold Cup and will send a 20-member squad," Pakistan Hockey Federation secretary Musarratullah Khan said.

The tournament will be held in Lahore, from September 18 to 30.

"Pakistan and China enjoy cordial relations at all levels and they have asked for our help in hockey and we will honour all their requests," Khan said.

The Pakistan senior hockey team visited China in May to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pakistan-China friendship.

Pakistan also sent former Olympian Samiullah to Beijing to coach the Chinese team.
