Davis Cup: Paes-Bhupathi win doubles tieFrench Open champions Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi defeated world no 2 pair Don Johnson and Jared Palmer of the United States in four sets to keep India alive in the Davis Cup World Group Qualifying Round in North Carolina on Saturday. The Indian pair which lost the second set after winning the first set, took the next two to win the crucial doubles match 6-4 1-6 6-3 7-6 (8/6) in two hour and 35 minutes. India, which lost both its singles on Friday, trails the United States 1-2 in the five-match tie and it now needs to win both its reverse singles on Sunday to qualify to the world group. PTI
