Jeev tied-fourth at PGA
Tour Q-School

Jeev Milkha Singh returned a three-under 69 to climb to a tied-fourth position after the penultimate round of the second stage of the US PGA Tour Qualifying School tournament, which started at various venues across the United States from Tuesday.

At the Black Horse Course, Seaside, California, Jeev’s tally of five-under 211 put him five strokes behind the leader, Pat Perez of San Diego, California. Perez currently leads the field at an impressive ten-under 206.

The Hero Honda-sponsored Jeev was tied with California’s Jeff Brehaut and Oklahama’s Chris Tidland.

Arjun Atwal, the other Indian playing the Q-School, was tied-36th at three-over 291. The 2000 Hero Honda Masters champion played his third round to level-par 72.

The top 20 players and ties from each venue will make it to the final stage of Qualifying School, which will be a six-round affair at the Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, starting from November 27.

Jyoti Randhawa and the Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra are the other players of Indian interest at the Q-School second stage, and will be in action from November 13 at the Orange Country National Club in Orlando, Florida.

Johl, Chopra tied 44th in Europe: In the second stage of the European Tour Qualifying School being played at three different venues in Spain, Amandeep Johl of Chandigarh was joined by Swedish national Daniel Chopra and five others at the tied-44th position at the par-73 Pals Golf Club in Northern Spain.

The SAIL-sponsored Johl played his third round to one-under 72 while Chopra returned a two-under 71.

Scotsman Graham Fox assumed the lead at an impressive 15-under 204 after carding an impressive penultimate round score of seven-under 66.

Emporda Golf Course and Peralada Golf Course, also in Spain, are the other venues for the second stage of Qualifying School. The final stage of the European Tour Q-School will be played over six rounds San Roque, Spain.
