Das, Baboor make exit

Leading India players Mouma Das and Chetan Baboor fell at the first hurdle in the singles event in 46th World table tennis championships in Osaka on Tuesday.

According to reports, they lost in the first round. Unseeded Das was beaten by tenth seed Jing Jun Hong of Singapore 16-21, 13-21, 12-21 while Baboor went down after a good fight to Roko Tosic of Croatia at 21-18, 18-21, 18-21.

On Monday, Soumyadeep Roy was beaten by Chen Yu Wei of Italy 12-21, 13-21 in the final qualifying round.
