JCT, Vasco draw goalless

JCT Mills, Phagwara, held Vasco Sports Club, Goa, to a goalless draw in a fifth National Football League match, in Ludhiana, on Wednesday.

Both the sides made some good moves, but failed to convert them into goals.

The visitors, playing with three foreign players -- Avazbek Khoshimov, Ebson Wanderiey and goalkeeper Rogero Ramos -- were the more dominating of the two sides but missed scoring when well-placed.

For the hosts, Hardeep Gill, Hardeep Sangha and Jaswant Singh made some good moves, but they were either cleared by the Vasco custodian or missed the target.

JCT have so far been winless in 13 matches and languish at the bottom of the 12-team table with seven points.

Vasco are placed fifth with 19 points.

JCT next play Churchill Brothers, at Ludhiana, on March 18.
