JCT, ITI play goalless draw

JCT, Phjagwara, and Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore, played a goalless draw in a National Football League match, in Ludhiana, on Monday.

Both teams missed many scoring opportunities and play was mainly confined to the midfield.

The best chance for the hosts came in the 60th minute when Hardeep Singh fumbled at the goal-mouth after receiving a fine pass from Baljeet Randhawa.

Within two minutes, ITI missed a scoring opportunity when Jamal's weak header was cleared by JCT defender Balkar Singh.

After this match, JCT have 5 points from 11 matches while ITI have tallied 8 from the same number of outings.

JCT have been winless in the tournament so far.
