French Open: Paes-Bhupathi in quarters

The unseeded Indian pair of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi on Sunday shocked third seeded Jiri Novak and David Rikl to enter the quarter finals of the French Open.

Paes-Bhupathi convincingly beat the Czech pair 6-3, 6-1.

The ace Indian doubles duo moved into the third round of the French Open 2001 after defeating the American pair of Eric Taino and Jack Waite 7-6(4), 6-1 on Saturday.

In the mixed doubles, Paes and American Lisa Raymond moved into the third round after getting a walkover from Andrew Florent of Australia and Sandrine Testud of France.
