Bosnia stun Chile to enter final

Bosnia rode on a brilliant strike by captain Muharemovic to stun title aspirants Chile by a solitary goal and romp into the final of the Sahara Cup Millennium football tournament at the Salt Lake stadium in Calcutta on Monday.

Midfielder Muharemovie produced the match-winner late in the second session to seal the fate of the Latin American outfit, in a fast-paced and thrilling encounter.

The match-winning goal came in the 75th minute of the contest, when forward Almedin Hota outwitted a defender and sent the ball towards Muharemovic near the edge of the box. Muharemovic unleashed a crisp volley to find the target with none of the defenders in position.

Bosnia will clash with the winner of the Tuesday's second semi-final, between Japan and Yugoslavia, in the summit showdown slated for January 25 at the same venue.

Chile, considered tournament favourites because of the presence of two World Cuppers and a number of Olympians in their ranks, have themselves to blame. They relaxed in defence for just a little while and saw their hopes dashed.
