JCT, Tollygunge in goalless draw

Former champions JCT Mills and Tollygunge Aggragami played a goalless draw in their National Football League match, at the Guru Nanak stadium, in Ludhiana, on Tuesday.

The result left JCT still looking for a victory from eight matches. They have four points, all from draws.

Tollygunge have seven points from four draws and a solitary victory after eight matches.

The first half saw both teams fail to capitalise on the chances that came their way.

JCT, weakened by the absence of star players including striker Deepak Mandal, attemped a come back in the second half, but failed to find the net.

They were further handicapped as striker Hardeep Sangha was forced to leave the field following an injury after only 10 minutes of play.

Others on the JCT injured list included Jaswinder Singh Jassi, Hardeep Saini, Prabhjot Singh and Narinder Nindi.

A series of raids by skipper Ram Lal in the dying minutes of the game failed to break the deadlock.
