Air India, ITI draw 1-1

Air India and Indian Telephone Industries were involved in a 1-1 draw in their National Football League match in Bangalore on Friday.

The Bombay side shot into the lead in the 25th minute through Anthony Fernandes while Nigerian striker Kenneth Ogwo got the equaliser for ITI in the 70th minute, firing home from a goal-mouth melee.

Heavy underfoot conditions, caused by the rain that lashed the city in the last few days, made things difficult for the players, who did not go all out fearing injury.

It was a repeat of the scoreline when the teams met in the first leg.

With Friday's draw, ITI remained in eighth position, with 21 points. Air India, with 18 points, occupy the tenth spot.

Both have two more league matches to go.
