ITI shock Salgaocar

Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore, came from behind to humble former champions Salgoacar Sports Club, Goa, and snatch full points from their 19th round match in the fifth edition of the National Football League at the Nehru stdium, in Margao, Goa, on Monday.

Medio Kenneth Rraj, in the 64th minute, and striker Kenneth Ugwo, in the 78th minute, scored for ITI while Bruno Coutinho scored the lone goal for Salgaocar in the 35th minute.

With this, their fourth, victory, ITI avenged the solitary goal defeat they suffered in the first phase, and moved up to eighth place in the 12-team league, with 20 points, pushing down Mahindra United, with 18 points, to ninth place.

Salgaocar have 26 points.
