Zaman shocks Low to enter final

Asian junior champion Mansoor Zaman of Pakistan shocked second seeded Kenneth Low of Malaysia 9-7, 9-4, 9-4 in 28 minutes to storm into the men's final of the tenth Asian senior squash championship in Hong Kong on Friday.

In the final, Zaman will take on top seeded Ong Beng Hee of Malaysia. Beng Hee pipped Shamsul Islam Khan of Pakistan 9-6, 3-9, 9-4, 10-8 in 66 minutes in the other semi-finals.

The women's final will be between defending champion Nicol David of Malaysia and local favourite and second seed Rebecca Chiu of Hong Kong.

In the semi-finals, top seeded Nicol crushed her compatriot Kuan Choy Lin 9-7, 9-0, 9-2 in 17 minutes while Rebecca sidelined Sharon Wee of Malaysia 9-4, 9-4, 10-8 in 29 minutes.
