IA, Punjab score contrasting wins

Defending champions Indian Airlines and Punjab defeated their respective opponents in contrasting styles for their second straight victories in Super League matches of 60th Senior national hockey championship in Jammu on Tuesday.

Indian Airlines recorded a comfortable 4-1 victory over Border Security Force in Pool D, while Punjab had a tough time in beating Uttar Pradesh 3-2 in Pool C.

In other matches, Chandigarh defeated West Bengal 3-0 in Pool C for thier first win in the Super League, while hosts Jammu and Kashmir had to be content with a 2-2 draw against Services in Pool D.
