Kiwi tour set to kick off

The New Zealand cricket team which is scheduled to play three Test matches, five one-day internationals and three warm up games, will be arriving in Mumbai on September 27, BCCI executive secretary Sharad Diwadkar informed the media in Mumbai.

The Kiwis will fly in at 0630 hours by Air India. The tour, which sees a welcome return to Test cricket, will begin with a three-day match from September 30 to October 2 against the India A team in Pune.

The Tests are scheduled for Mohali, Kanpur and Ahmedabad.

The New Zealand team: Stephen Fleming, Mathew Bell, Mathew Horne, Craig Spearman, Nathan Astle, Craig McMillan, Chris Harris, Adam Parore, Adam Parore, Dion Nash, Chris Cairns, Shayne O'Connor, Andrew Penn, Chris Drum, Paul Wiseman, Daniel Vettori.
