SA to play only two Tests on India tour

The South African cricket team will play two Tests and five one-day internationals during their 34-day tour of India next year.

Board of Control for Cricket in India executive secretary Sharad Diwadkar said the South Africans, who will tour India in February-March 2000, were originally supposed to play three Test matches, but opted for two Tests in order to accommodate five one-day internationals.

Diwadkar said that the dates and venues for the matches are still to be finalised.
