Dravid for Kent

Kent have named Rahul Dravid as the their new overseas player for next season.

The 26-year-old Indian batsman has agreed to a one-year contract and will replace Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds.

Dravid's Test average is 55. He has played 29 times for his country, scoring 2,395 runs. He has also played 103 one-day internationals, making 3,230 runs at an average of nearly 37.

Kent will be led by Matthew Fleming, who has been appointed for a second season.
