Tyson will not fight immediately

Mike Tyson will not decide on his boxing future until after his release from a Maryland jail, his manager said yesterday.

There is no definitive timetable for Mike to be back in the ring anytime soon,'' manager Shelley Finkel said. "Our immediate concerns are for him to be back with his family where he belongs."

The 32-year-old former heavyweight champion is serving a one-year sentence after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor assault charges in connection with a minor traffic accident.

He must still serve 60 days for violating probation for a 1992 rape conviction in Indiana and the earliest he can get out is in June.
"After Mike's release we will sit down and discuss his boxing future,'' Finkel said

Tyson's last fight was January 16, when he knocked out Francois Botha in the fifth round of a fight in Las Vegas.
