Anand wins Chess Oscar again

Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand retained the prestigious Chess Oscar for the second straight year. In the process, he added yet another bronze statue to his valuable trophy collection.

The Russian chess magazine 64-Chess Review awards this prestigious international prize to the best chess player of the year. Now, Anand has his name on the 1998 and 1999 list of recipients.
The Oscar was presented to Anand in the Russian capital, Moscow. After receiving the award Anand said: "This is really special for me. I hope to continue the same way as I did the last two years."
