Pakistan recalls Salim Malik for match against India

Our Correspondent

Former Pakistani cricket captain and veteran middle-order batsman Salim Malik has been recalled to the side for its final league encounter of the Pepsi Cup tri-nation one-day international series against India at Mohali, Punjab, on April 1.

Malik has been recalled at the instance of skipper Wasim Akram, who felt that the side sorely needs his experience to bolster its batting.

He will join the side at Mohali tomorrow.

Malik has been drafted as reinforcement. None of the current members of the team is being sent back.
