IMG to represent Kanitkar

International Management Group, the global leader in sports management and marketing, announced that it would represent Indian all rounder Hrishikesh Kanitkar.

IMG India will represent Kanitkar's commercial rights including celebrity/brand endorsement. The fiesty all rounder is the third Indian cricketer to be represented by IMG, after Anil Kumble and Ajay Jadeja.

Kanitkar, son of former India stumpere Hemant Kanitkar, made it to the Indian team in the 1997-98 season. He emerged as a popular figure among starry-eyed young cricket buffs, after heralding victory for India against Pakistan, smashing a boundary off the penultimate ball in the Coca Cola Cup final at Dhaka last year -- the chase being a world record at the time.

"It's a great honour to be represented by the world's largest sports management and marketing company which has managed the careers of some of the world's most accomplished sportsmen," was Kanitkar's response.
