BCCI working committee meet on Aug 3

The working committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India will meet on August 3 in Calcutta.

A day before, the marketing and sponsorship committee as well as the cricket academy committee, which has been formed to look into the proposed setting up of a national cricket academy, will meet to finalise details pertaining to their respective spheres of operation.

Though the BCCI refused to divulge the agenda for these meetings, the working committee is likely to discuss its forthcoming international committments.

The board is also expected to discuss cricketing ties with Pakistan in the background of the Kargil conflict, and the situation arising from the fact that Sahara India have pulled out of the five-match series in Toronto, Canada.

The show cause notices issued to Rahul Dravid, Robin Singh and Saurav Ganguly for talking to the press after the World Cup are also likely to be figure on the agenda.
