Paes wins ATP Challenger

Indian ace Leander Paes won the BPL-ATP Challenger Tennis tournament singles title defeating Jamie Delgado of Britain in 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) in a hard-fought final at the Oudh Gymkhana courts in Lucknow today.

Paes served and volleyed with precision at the crucial points in the tie-breakers to emerge triumphant.

Paradorn Srichphan of Thailand and Kristian Pless of Denmark won the doubles title. They got the better of Delgado and Martin Lee of Britain in a three-set final.
