Wills Trophy team on October 18

The Indian team for the forthcoming Wills Cup in Dhaka, Bangladesh, will be picked on October 18.

The selection committee will pick the side based on performances in the Challenger Series.

BCCI secretary Jaywant Lele said the team would leave for Dhaka on October 24 after attending a five day camp. The camp is likely to be held in Delhi, but if the team is leaving from Calcutta, then the camp will be shifted to that venue, Lele said.

Asked about the hectic schedule of the Indian team, Lele said the international tour schedule was agreed upon by the captains of all countries during the last ICC-sponsored captains' meeting.

It was decided in that meeting that each country would be playing 12 Test matches and 32 one day internationals in one year, Lele said.

Lele said that the Karnataka Cricket Association and the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association were not allowed to take part in the BCCI annual general meeting in Calcutta on Wednesday owing to court orders.
