Earlier, the Obamas arrived at the airport in suburban Mumbai in Marine One -- the chopper carrying the US President -- from a Naval base in South Mumbai.

In view of the US President's departure, flight movement at the CSIA airport was shut for 38 minutes, an airport spokesperson said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and other officials gave the US president a send-off.
