After laying siege over Lalgarh in West Midnapore district of West Bengal, Maoists have now targeted Orissa's Narayanpatna region.

Hundreds of activists of Chasi Muliya Adivasi Sangh, a tribal outfit backed by the Maoists, have forcibly occupied lands belonging to non-tribals across Narayanpatna, causing unrest in the region.

The agitation has picked up momentum with the activists blocking all roads by felling trees and cutting off the region from rest of the state, to bar the entry of police and the administrative authorities.
