No headway was made at the talks on Tuesday to finalise the seat-sharing deal between Congress and Trinamool Congress for coming assembly elections in West Bengal.

Emerging from the over one-hour talks, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said the discussions would be held again.

"We have discussed seat-sharing. The discussion is inconclusive. We will discuss it again", Mukherjee told mediapersons.

However, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, when asked for her comments as she was leaving without facing the media, quipped, "nothing happened."

Banerjee earlier posed for a photo session with Mukherjee, Congress Working Committee in-charge of West Bengal Shakeel Ahmed and the party's screening committee in-charge for WB Janardhana Poojary, after the end the meeting at 10.05 pm and straighway left for her Kalighat residence.

"I will not divulge anything", Shakeel Ahmed later told PTI when asked if the hitch still persisted with Trinamool Congress with regard to quality and winning ability of seats.

"After what Pranabda has said, I have nothing to add. I stand by what he has already said. We discussed tonight and we will discuss it again," the Congress leader said.
