Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control by opening fire on Indian posts in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday night.

Pakistani troops fired on two forward posts along the LoC in Krishnagati sector of Poonch district around 8:30 pm, Brigadier General Staff Brig S Cheema told PTI.

"They fired on the LoC posts with small arms", he said, adding that Indian troops guarding the borderline "adequately replied" to the firing.

However, no casualties were reported on the Indian side.
