India is "not satisfied" with the pace of progress in the Mumbai terror attack trial in Pakistan and would like the cases against the suspects "expedited", Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said.
"Well, we would like those cases to be expedited, beyond that what can I say. You know what problems we have with Pakistan. We are not satisfied with the pace those cases have been allowed to go forward," Singh said.
Singh was talking to mediapersons after he paid homage to Mumbai terror attack victims on Thursday at the Taj Hotel where he had addressed an Infosys function. He also laid a wreath at the memorial.
The PM was asked whether he was satisfied with the way the case against the Mumbai attack suspects is progressing in Pakistan. The Taj Hotel had borne the brunt of the three-day siege of the country's financial capital.
Pakistan-based terror group Laskhar-e-Tayiba has been blamed for the carnage in November 2008 in which 166 people were killed.
Singh said he has come to Mumbai to pay homage to the memory of those innocent Indians and some foreign nationals who died in the wake of the "terrible terrorist onslaught" on the "gracious" city of Mumbai and on the people of India.
"I sincerely hope and pray that we the nation as a whole will remain united in tackling the menace that terrorism poses for civilised persons, civilised societies," he said.
