Perhaps to counter Congress's yuvraj Rahul Gandhi during the Bihar Assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad has launched his son -- a cricketer -- Tejaswi Yadav into politics. Rated as a promising player, Tejaswi plays for Delhi.

Introducing Tejaswi to mediapersons, Lalu, in his inimitable style, said his son would campaign for the party during Assembly elections.

"He is still learning the ABC of politics and will learn more during campaigning," Lalu said at a press conference in Patna on Thursday.

Lalu also said Tejaswi would contest elections in future.  "He will play active politics in the coming days. At present he is playing cricket and will play a new innings in politics," Lalu said.

Clad in a cotton shirt, Tejaswi said that he would campaign for his papa (Lalu) and RJD in the Assembly elections.

Tejaswi said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would be finished in the ensuing elections.
