Extradition of Lashkar-e-Tayiba terror operative David Headley is an option that India will continue to pursue, Home Minister P Chidambaram said during a press briefing on Monday.

Speaking on the contentious issue of the United States not sharing intelligence about Headley with India on time, Chidambaram said, "What the US knew and when they knew about David Headley vis-a-vis 26/11 is a matter under full review in the US. They will share it with us once the review is over."

He added, "Intelligence sharing between India and US is extremely good."

Chidambaram also defended the Delhi police's decision of not taking action against writer Arundhati Roy for her controversial comments about Kashmir, saying it was in accordance with the letter and spirit of law on sedition.

Speaking about the imminent visit of US President Barack Obama, Chidambaram said, "Foolproof security will be provided during the visit of US President Obama. There need be no concern about it."

He also hailed the role of the interlocutors in resolving the ongoing crisis in Kashmir, saying, "The interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir have changed the discourse in the state to some extent. I think things are returning to normal in Kashmir, although it is too early to say everything is normal."

Chidambaram added, "The media should not ask and the interlocutors should not give ball by ball commentary. It is not a cricket match."
