A Swedish model, who exposed the police-drug peddler nexus in Goa, said the local police showed no interest in contacting her despite her presence in India. But the crime branch has contradicted her claim, questioning why she did not reveal her presence in Mumbai.

"Let her tell wherever she is in India, I will go and get her statement," Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Chandrakant Salgaonkar said on Monday evening. Salgaonkar said that the model should cooperate with the police and reveal her whereabouts. "I want her as a witness for the prosecution. If she was just in Mumbai, why didn't she tell us? We could have gone to Mumbai. How can we know where she is," he said.

Lucky Farmhouse, a Swedish model, had shot a video of her boyfriend, drug dealer Atala alias Yaniv Benaim, bragging about his contacts with the police. The videos loaded on youtube.com had led to the suspension of six policemen. Five of them were arrested for their nexus with a drug peddler. The model, through an email interview to PTI in April, had said that she had more videos to prove the police-drug peddler nexus in the state. She had also stated that the son of a senior politician had visited her boyfriend at their Goa house.

In a fresh revelation on Monday, the model said that she was in Mumbai during the first week of May, shooting for a music video, but the Goa police had not contacted her. The model on her website on Monday said that no one has any problems in contacting her except the Goa police.

"Still (there is) no sign of any police or Interpol. I have read in the news that the Goa police are having problems in finding me," Lucky said in a post. "It's very easy to get in contact with me especially when they know where I live. They have my phone number, email etc. I check my email almost every day and my phone is always on," she said.
