Kasab 'thanks' judge for death sentence

A teary-eyed Kasab, Pakistani gunman convicted in the 26/11 terror attacks case, thanked judge ML Tahiliyani after he was awarded the death sentence in Mumbai on Thursday.

Sources said he also bid adieu to the judge saying, "Khuda Hafiz."

In the 90-minute-long court proceedings, Kasab sat like the Rodin's Thinker, with his chin dug into his left hand and his eyes focussed on the ground.

In between the court proceedings, Kasab asked for a glass of water and also had a small tiff with the policemen guarding him. He indicated his boredom to the cops and gestured for them to take him back to his cell.
