Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Sunday spent 30 minutes with his son and Union minister MK Alagiri at his official bungalow in New Delhi.

The development, insiders say, would end speculation that there has been a family – read the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam -- quarrel over the succession issue.

Sources in the party say Karunanidhi's visit is primarily aimed at advancing the Assembly elections from May 2011 to November 2010. Another key task, sources say, is to settle the negative campaign unleashed by Telecom Minister A Raja on 2G spectrum corruption.
