Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, who was admitted to Nashik Civil hospital, has refused to take medical treatment, hospital said on Monday.
Pragya, who was shifted to the hospital last evening following weakness, has said no to treatment and is also not taking food, resulting in deteriorating health, Nashik Civil hospital's civil surgeon, R S Shinge told PTI.
Talking to reporters, the sadhvi said unless Inspector General of Police (prison) of the Nashik Road Central Jail and a local court judge met her personally, she will not accept any medical treatment or food.
She alleged that she was being abused by Jail Superintendent Swati Sathe in the prison.
Pragya, who was brought here for a medical check-up on Saturday, had told reporters then that she was being harassed mentally and physically in the jail.
Pragya said she had stopped consuming solid food in protest and was on a liquid diet.
Meanwhile, the Sarkarwada police station on a complaint by Nashik Road Central Jail Authorities has registered a case of attempt to suicide against Pragya.
The sadhvi was earlier being treated in the city-based Ayurveda Seva Sangh hospital for spondylitis, spinal and backache. She was shifted to the Nashik Road Central Jail by authorities on March 16 following a life threat, police said.
