"The interrogation of Bashir has revealed that another suspected terrorist, Ghulam Rasul, who was known to him, had also come to Gujarat in February," Inspector of SOG of Anand C N Rajput, who is interrogating Bashir, said.
Rasul's uncle lives in Anand and he had come to visit him, he said.
The Anand district police and ATS today interrogated family members of Rasul's uncle to know about the details of his visit. After the interrogation of the family, police have given a clean chit to them saying they were not aware of Rasul's involvement in terror activities, Rajput said.
Police said Rasul had stayed for some days in Anand and Ahmedabad and they are probing what activities he had undertaken duing his visit to the state. Police said Bashir was cooperating in interrogation. Bashir was arrested on Sunday near Anand is currently in police remand.
