Congress Member of Parliament from Bihar Mohd Asraul Haque created a flutter in party circles on Thursday by demanding that the interests of "all sections of society" should be taken into account before passing the Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha.

"There should not be any discrimination in the bill and interests of all sections of society should be taken into account," Haque told the media.

Haque is the first Congress MP to raise an issue about the bill, which has been passed by the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday amid much pulls and pressures.

Trouble is already brewing in the BJP over bill with a section of MPs in Lok Sabha expressing their opposition to the measure and threatening to vote against it.

"I would appeal to the party High Command to look into it and ensure that the interest of everybody is taken care of," Haque said.

The Kishangunj MP, however, said, "The bill should be passed."
