Congress suspends Lalu's brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav for opposing women's reservation bill .
The Congress party's Bihar unit has suspended controversial party leader Sadhu Yadav on Wednesday for opposing the passing of the women's reservation bill and criticising the party high command for it.
The Congress suspended Sadhu Yadav, a former MP, a day after he termed the women's reservation bill as anti-Dalit and anti-Muslim.
Yadav has been suspended from the primary membership of the party for six years.
Bihar Congress president Anil Sharma told rediff.com in Patna that the party has also issued a show cause to Yadav to explain his stand on the women's reservation bill.
Sadhu Yadav, who faces several criminal and corruption charges, joined the Congress last year before Lok Sabha elections after he was denied ticket by the Rashtriya Janata Dal to contest from Bettiah.
Sadhu Yadav is the brother of former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi.
