Pak disappointed over Pillai's remarks linking ISI to 26/11

Ahead of Thursday's Foreign Minister-level talks, Pakistan expressed disappointment over Indian Home Secretary G K Pillai's remarks on the Inter-Services-Intyelligence's involvement in the Mumbai terror attack citing leads from Lashkar-e-Tayiba operative David Headley's interrogation.

"The remarks are very disappointing, especially coming on the eve of Indo-Pak talks," a top official in the Pakistan government said. The official was responding to remarks attributed to the Indian Home Secretary that ISI had a "much more significant" role to play in the 26/11 plot than earlier thought.

Pillai had cited the information provided by Headley regarding the involvement of the Pakistani spy agency and Jamaat-ud-Daawa chief Hafiz Saeed during interrogation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Indian investigators.

Foreign Minister S M Krishna today arrived in Islamabad for talks with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi and is expected to ask Islamabad to take concrete action against terror groups operating from its territory against India.
