Asking his followers to create a language barrier to prevent the 'influx of outsiders', Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray slammed Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, industrialist Mukesh Ambani and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh spokesperson Ram Madhav for making 'irrelevant' statements about Mumbai.
Addressing a public gathering at Dombivli near Mumbai, the MNS chief said : "Why is the did not the Romeputra (son of a Roman) say anything against the attacks on Indians in Australia. Why is he babbling now?"
The MNS chief pointed out that during Indira Gandhi's tenure it was General Arun Kumar Vaidya who had led Operation Blue Star in Punjab. "We never say that a Marathi man saved Punjab," Thackeray said..
Thackeray added that Gandhi dynasty starting from Nehru and then Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul himself contested the polls from Uttar Pradesh. "In all these years they have not done anything that will help the state develop. Instead they have let those people migrate to other states."
Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani was also a target of Thackeray's ire, "When Ambani had to make his biggest investment he chose Gujarat. If he can have love for his lingual state then am i a criminal?"
Thackeray also lambasted RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav for offering protection to migrants in Mumbai. "He dares to offer protection to migrants in Mumbai, but who will protect him," he said.
Thackeray again reiterated that only Marathis should get taxi permits in Mumbai, "Let us create a language barrier that the migrants will find difficult to breach."
