Pak says 'Thank You' to India with mangoes

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has sent five boxes of mangoes to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, probably, as a thank you note for reaching out to flood victims in his country.

Pakistan is battling with devastating floods this monsoon that has affected one-third of the country.

After dithering for a week, Pakistan accepted the Indian offer of $5 million aid for its flood victims.

Indian spokesperson Vishnu Prakash said the aid was a "goodwill gesture of solidarity".

There were some awkward diplomatic moments when Pakistan kept mum over Indian offer to reach out to victims. The US had issued a statement to request to Pakistan to accept the aid for a humanitarian cause.
