The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to make special arrangements for allowing the Friday prayers in curfew-bound areas of Hyderabad city on Friday.
Chief Minister K Rosaiah, after a high-level meeting with the officials on Thursday evening, asked the director general of police and Hyderabad police commissioner to make arrangements in consultation with the religious leaders and elders of the Muslim community for the prayers.
He, however, made it clear that there will be no relaxation in curfew on Friday.
As part of the security arrangements, additional police and paramilitary forces will be deployed near the places of worship and video cameras will also be used to monitor the movement of the people and to keep a check on the anti social elements.
The Muslim community leaders have told the government that Imams will be making an appeal for peace in their Friday sermons.
Chief minister also wanted extra security arrangements and precautionary measures in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Mehbubnagar for the Friday prayers.
