Bihar: Senari massacre case accused flees

September 27, 2009 18:15 IST

One of the main accused of Senari massacre escaped from the Jehanabad district court premises today, police said.
Superintendent of Police Ganesh Kumar said Radheshyam Ram, who has been absconding, was arrested yesterday only by the Arwal police from Kurtha police station limits.

Ram managed to escape from Jehanabad court premises when he was brought for production in the court, Kumar said.

The SP said Ram managed to gave a slip to the Chowkidar, who was looking after him (Ram), when a constable had gone to make some inquiry with court staff.

Kumar said though the accused had been brought by two policemen of the Arwal police to produce him in the court but even then district police would thoroughly probe the matter. The police were conducting raids to nab the absconder, he added.
