Send us your Durga Puja images

Last updated on: September 25, 2009 16:11 IST

It is time to welcome back Ma Durga, who is on her annual five-day visit to her father Himalaya's home, with her sons Ganesh and Kartik and daughters Saraswati and Lakshmi.

Also known as Uma and Parvati, in Hindu mythology, Durga symbolises the vindication of the good forces over the evil as she vanquished the evil Mahishasura.

But for lakhs of devotees across India, the five-day festival not only means a time of worship but also an opportunity to don new clothes, savour delectable sweets and socialise with friends and family members.

Celebrate this year's Durga Puja with rediff.com by sending us photographs or videos of your favourite idols and pandals from across India and all over the world. We will put up the best photographs and videos right here on our website.

Send your photographs to citizen.reporter@rediffmail.com or Upload your videos at http://ishare.rediff.com/ and send us the link at citizen.reporter@rediffmail.com.
