BJP seeks white paper on Chinese incursion

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad has demanded that the government should come up with a white paper on the recent Chinese incursions.

"This has included not only the violation of Line of Actual Control (LAC) but, the Chinese entry into India's territory. While this is happening, it is indeed distressing to note that those who are supposed to manage our foreign policy are more engaged in the competitive politics of simplicity, the deplorable depiction of cattle class, which we condemn ought-right and the dialogue on twitter," he said. 
 
He claimed that in 2008 there were 233 LAC violations.

"The violations had been limited not just to Ladakh or areas in North East, even to Sikkim. This is particularly disturbing because during the National Democratic Alliance regime, China has formally acknowledged Sikikim as a part of India. It is indeed shocking and curious that the Centre is deliberately ignoring it and the External Affairs Minister has publicly downplayed it in despite the fact that there is a particular design intention and object behind the aggressive posture of China," Prasad said.
