An anonymous call was received by Delhi Police this morning claiming that bombs have been placed at four prominent buildings, including a well-known government hospital and a commercial complex, .

The call was received at around 10:30 am at a police control room. The unidentified caller claimed that bombs have been placed at four important buildingĀ  which included Safdarjung hospital, NDMC headquarters (Palika Kendra) and Vikas Minar in ITO, police sources said.

Immediately, the Quick-Response Teams were rushed to the sites and evacuated people from the buildings, they said.

Sniffer dogs and bomb disposal teams were also rushed to the spots.

Terming it "mischievous" call, Additional Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Shankar Dass said, "We think it is a mischievous call to create panic, as only yesterday, the office of Commonwealth Games adjacent to the NDMC building was inaugurated".
