Immersion of Ganesh idols take place in Pune

The ten-day long Ganesh Chaturthi festival came to an end on Thursday with devotees participating in the immersion of the idols in Pune. Devotees took out processions amidst beating of drums in the farewell ritual.

Generally, thousands of people every year crowd the streets on this occasion but this year there were fewer people on the streets due to the H1N1 scare.
