Libyan leader Moamer Gadaffi stirred up a storm by saying that Arab nations and even the Palestinians had the right to nuclear  weapons as long as Israel's nuclear ambitions were tolerated.

Israel is widely considered to be the Middle East's sole, 'undeclared' nuclear state,

Gadaffi said he believed that if the Israelis had nuclear weapons and the nuclear capabilities, then it was the right of the Egyptians, the Syrians, the Saudis to have the same -- even the Palestinians could have the same because their their opponents, had nuclear capabilities," Gadaffi told Sky News said in the interview.
