Six firemen suffocated to death in Thane

Six fire fighters were killed after getting trapped in the lift of a 14-storey building that was on fire. The incident took place in Thane district of Maharashtra in the wee hours of morning on Sunday when the firemen were coming down after dousing the fire at the 14th floor of the Tarangan apartments building. The fire fighters suffocated to death due to the toxic fumes in the smoke.
