Karunakaran speaks to Shashi Tharoor

K Karunakaran, the former chief minister of Kerala, who was hospitalised in a critical condition has now started meeting and talking to people, Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Shashi Tharoor who met the veteran leader told media persons on Saturday.

Tharoor said that Karunakaran spoke to him about Jawaharlal Nehru.Tharoor said that Karunakaran had spoken to him for a few minutes on National and international issues and also his (Tharoor's) personal matters .

The medical bulletin issued by the hospital also said that the veteran leader has now started sitting up in the bed and would be moved from the intensive care unit soon.
