Two armymen injured in grenade explosion

Two Indian Army [ Images ] personnel were injured in a grenade explosion near the Line of Control [ Images ] in Gurez sector of North Kashmir's [ Images ] Bandipora district on Monday, a defence official said.
The incident took place near Nowshhra Nar in Izmarg, 170 km from Srinagar [ Images ], when the troops were returning to their unit after patrolling along the border, the official said.
The grenade accidentally fell from the hand of a jawan and exploded, critically injuring him and his colleague, the official said, adding that both the injured soldiers were shifted to hospital.© Copyright 2009 PTI.
